libdigest-crc-perl software package provides Perl module providing generic CRC functions, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libdigest-crc-perl
libdigest-crc-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libdigest-crc-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libdigest-crc-perl *
You will get with libdigest-crc-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
